Breakthrough housing design
for asthma and allergy sufferers
Ichijo Technological Homes, i-Smart home has recently
been approved by the National Asthma Council Australia's (NAC) Sensitive Choice
program.
The project has been recognised as a positive step for people with asthma and allergies.
Ichijo
Technological Homes are the first Australian builder to be a partner
of the Sensitive Choice® program and will be able to display the Sensitive
Choice® blue butterfly symbol.
Ichijo's general manager, Phil Stewart, said the
company's technical personnel undertook intensive research and testing to
ensure we met the NAC's requirements, in order to be approved by the Sensitive
Choice® program.
“We are delighted to be a partner of the Sensitive
Choice® program as we believe for the first time in Australia, home buyers will
be able to choose a home designed for their wellbeing and at the same time
choose an architecturally stylish residence,” he said.
The i-Smart home features a unique i-Smart ventilation
system that provides filtered air via a barrier-free system, creating a
balanced tempered climate throughout the home.
A sophisticated HRV unit cleans the air.
The combination of a high performance filter and super
air-tight walls prevent drafts, dust, pollen and pollution from entering the
home.
Additional key components to the design of the i-Smart
is the integration of high levels of insulation, double glazed windows and
continuous wall panels. The Wall panels have an incorporated air cavity, that
allows moisture to be drawn through to the roof and outside, inhibiting mould
growth.
All these features aim to reduce the likelihood
of fewer triggers and irritants in the home.
Ichijo will have two new i-Smart display homes open
early September at Peregrine Street, HomeWorld Gledswood Hills off Macarthur
Drive. For more information go to www.ichijo.com.au.
